Over the years, MacCase bundles of one kind or another have been some of our most popular models. Very often, grouping items together creates something greater than the sum of the parts. This is the spirit we are trying to capture with our newest bundled sets. We've taken out most popular Apple tablet cases and combined them with some of our most popular and time tested, larger day use bags to create something truly unique. The huge savings doesn't hurt either!
Q- Does this bundle work with the 2022 6th generation 12.9-inch or 4th generation 11-inch iPad Pro models?
A - Yes, for the 2022 Apple tablets, each size has 2 versions. One is clean and one features the attachment points for our Magnetic Accessory System in the form of circular magnets integrated into the front cover. If you want to use our Pencil case or other Folio accessories, order the "w/ Magnets" version in the pull down menu.
Q - Does this Bundle work with the 2018, 3rd generation 12.9 or 11 Apple tablet models?
A - Yes. In the "Choose Your Options" section under Folio model, select 2018 iPad Pro or 11 iPad Pro respectively. We'll ship the Folio model you choose.
Q - Do any of the Keyboard models shown in the Folio pull down menu and in the video work with the 2020 Magic Keyboard or Smart Keyboard?
A - No. Due to the events in the first half of 2020, we have not had the time to develop a folio cover compatible with the new Magic Keyboard and 2020 Smart Keyboard.
Q - Does the Keyboard Cover shown in the Folio pull down menu work with the 2018 Apple Keyboard Folio?
A - Yes, if you have the 2018 Keyboard Folio, order the Keyboard Cover. This is the model designed to work with that accessory.
Q - Will there be extra room in the Messenger Bag for other things like a MacBook Pro, personal items or even clothing?
A - Yes. The Premium Leather Messenger Bag is designed to hold up to a 15" MacBook Pro so you can use that for scale. It can be used as a overnight bag if needed. The floor of the bag folds up so the width expands and contracts to meet your needs. If you have items like clothing, the floor can be folded down and the bag expanded to 6 inches wide at the base.
If you're going to order an 11 or 10.9 Folio for this bundle, you'll have that much more room for other items. If you are looking for a smaller shoulder bag style case for your 10.9 or 11 Folio, please have a look at our 12.9 Flight Jacket which will hold the 10.5 or 11 Folio or our other Bundle.
Q - Can I save money with this Bundle vs. buying the Folio and Messenger Bag separately?
A - Yes. Depending on which Folio you choose, you can save up to $50 over the cost of purchasing each piece separately.
Q - Why are there so many options? Can you please explain them?
A - The Messenger Bag has 1 option, a 6" x 6" x 1" Accessory Pouch this is used for all the white Apple accessories, like charging cables, adapters, AC cube, etc. Customers also used these Pouches for personal items. They are fully lined, padded and have a YKK zippered closure.
The Folios have 4 options, the pencil case for the Apple Pencil, a paper holder, a cable pouch and a business card holder. The accessories are fitted to each size Folio and use very strong magnets to attach to the outside front cover of the case. To see all the options in action, please have a look at the videos above.
Additional FAQs
Q - Does this leather require any care? What do you recommend doing to the hides so I can get the most out of my purchase?
A- For the black pebble grain models, we recommend any high quality leather conditioner be used on the hides once a year. We do not recommend any strong cleaners as the caustic nature of some cleaners can affect the colorfastness of the vegetable tanning process.
The black hides are a top grain, semi-sealed, textured leather. They are very self-sufficient and only require the minimal of care to remain looking their best. A once a year "feeding" of the hides to keep them soft, flexible and help protect against the weather will insure years of use.
For the Vintage hides, the maintenance is a bit different. The Vintage leather is a full grain, raw, unfinished hide with open pores. Because of this, it contains a high oil content to help protect it from the weather and to keep the hides soft and flexible.
The downside of this type of hide is that, over time, the oil will evaporate out. It will loose moisture just like your skin and if the moisture is not replaced, can cause premature wear. On the positive side, the raw nature of the leather allows the hide to patina in over time. This insures your iPad Pro Bundle will only look like yours. The set will become a very personal and endearing thing to own and use.
So what is the best course of action to take to insure long term care of your Vintage set? We use Neetsford OIl on all our Vintage restorations that we do for customers. This is the same oil used to break in new baseball gloves. It is an inexpensive oil and available at any hardware store.
We have Vintage Messenger Bags in the field that were purchased 12 years ago and Folios still protecting first generation iPads from 2010 because customers took 10 minutes a year to wipe down their MacCase Premium Leather models with Neetsford Oil or similar product, restoring the high oil content.
